MusicBrainz Picard / Plugins
MusicBrainz Picard can be extended with a variety of plugins to add additional functionality or change the default behaviour.
Available plugins
Official plugin registry
For Picard version 2 and version 3 you can find a list of plugins available for installation directly in the Plugins Options. The list of available plugins can also be browsed on the Picard website's plugins page.
Please note that plugins in the plugin registry are also often provided by third-party developers and not directly controlled by the Picard development team.
Other plugins
Some plugins are not included in the official plugin registry, but still available from third-party sources. Reasons for this include the plugin fulfilling a very specific use case, being experimental or using internal code of Picard that can easily break on updates.
Instructions for installing a plugin from a URL can be found in the Picard User Guide.
Be aware that installing plugins from unknown sources may pose security risks. Only install plugins from sources you trust!
Below is a list of plugins for Picard 3, that are not yet available in the plugin registry. Please do extend this list if you have developed or are using a plugin which is not yet included in the registry.

| Internet Archive Metadata | Tracks downloaded from the Internet Archive (IA) include a sidecar file, meta.xml, that may include metadata about the track that is not included in the file itself.
